Having worked as both lead practitioners and managers of complex health and social care services we understand the importance of having a skilled and motivated workforce who can deliver the best outcomes for service users. We have a broad range of experience of designing and delivering training tailored to meet the differing needs of organisations. We hold particular expertise in a range of Safeguarding, Care Act and Mental Capacity Act training and pride ourselves in being the lead provider in this field for a number of London Boroughs and Mental Health Trusts.
It is for students who are already working in care in a supervisory capacity, perhaps as a senior carer or senior support worker and wish to increase their knowledge. It builds on knowledge and skills learned in the level 3 qualification and adds some additional supervisory management and leadership knowledge and skills or provide coaching and mentoring to their colleagues. The level 4 diploma in care will further, specialist skills and knowledge in their area of responsibility which enables them to lead in areas such as assessment or enablement, for instance.
I really liked the trainer's style and method of training. We are so confident in our reliability that If we ever have to rearrange a training session at late notice, you get the training at half price! Training should help people to think and learn about the subject but people tend to learn more when they enjoy the subject.

The Council offers a wide range of subsidised training and development opportunities to support our social care partners in the private, voluntary and independent sectors. Our priority is to support Reading based organisations or those who have a social care contract with the Council. We also provide fully funded training to personal assistants and unpaid carers.
